Project P08
Metabolic regulation through the aryl hydrocarbon receptor repressor (AhRR) via immune cell/adipocyte interactions
Influence of the AhR signaling pathway on macrophage/adipocyte cross-talk
© Förster
The Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) is a ligand-activated transcription factor, regulated by the AhR Repressor (AhRR). We have discovered that myeloid cell-specific AhRR-deficient mice are protected from diet-induced obesity and feature signs of browning. In this project, we want to investigate the influence of the AhRR on the interaction of immune cells with brown/beige adipocytes to ultimately identify AhRR-dependent mediators regulating thermogenesis.
